Childcare options: I hired a nanny and I’m trying to find an app to keep informed on the baby. What is the most important feature for all you mommas with a nanny?

I’m a nanny and the people I work for have a camera in their living room. They were upfront about it and don’t use it after the kids are in bed and I don’t mind it bc I have nothing to hide when I’m with the kids. Just an option that wasn’t listed

Agree, look into the wyzecam. its $25 on amazon, I use it for my dogs. it has sounds, night vision, motion sensor, you can talk through it and it can record up to 12 second videos without an sd card either when you are in the app or when motion sensor is triggered.

I've been a nanny for two families and neither did any of this via apps.no cameras. no trackers. at the end of the day I would give a small report- poop, eating, small how the day went. we send each other photos all the time just because we both love the children. and she writes down her schedule on the calendar and I write down under it the hours I worked.

no because ive never had to look back at anything after a week or even a day. communicating in person or just text is just easy enough.

Do you think it’d be easier to have a digital version to look back on or to more easily communicate?

I say get a cam and a 2 way at that if they aren’t doing anything inappropriate, it should not make a nanny uncomfortable. I don’t think you should be obligated to tell where they are located, just that you have them should be fine.
