Play yard changers?

Question

Help! FTM looking for advice - was thinking of setting up a play yard on my main floor for baby during the day and using the play yard changer piece as a change station (rather than climbing stairs every time baby has to be changed). 
Some of them look smaller than others area-wise , is this a reasonable plan, or are they small and only last a month or two (and then I’d have to find something else)?

I didn’t get a changer accessory i just set up the pack and play at the infant setting (mattress up high) and threw a changing pad on that.

I found it to be kinda small and quickly outgrown. But, I tend to change my kids on the area rugs a lot... so I just kept diapers in handy nooks all over the house for the first few months. 
Now that the babies are older I keep their things all in the changing table.

We have our daughter's pack-n-play set up downstairs in our home as well since she and I spend most of our downstairs when my husband is at work. I have it set up in my office for those daytime naps. We have the with a detachable napper/bassinet and a detachable changer. The main reason for that is because I did not want to keep going back and forth to her nursery to change her nor to put her in her crib or bassinet for a nap. My daughter is nine months and she still takes naps in her pack-n-pack, not the napper portion though, she outgrew it. We have the Ingenuity pack-n-play.

I have the changer and find it handy, especially since mine has little shelves and a hamper. So everything is in one place. I have the safety 1st Pegasus. I bought mine 6 years ago and used it for 4 kids, hopefully it's still on the market.
