How long does your toddler nap and sleep at night?
Our daughter has been a pretty good sleeper and Napper from early on but our son has never been a good sleeper, except for here and there. The past month-and-a-half have been pretty rough with sleep. We have been lucky this week that they have been sleeping from 8 at night to 5 in the morning. They go down for a nap around 12:30 and sleep for about 2.5 hrs.
Our routine:
They get up and we don't feed them till 6. We do snack around 8:30 and lunch around 11:30. I work hard to Tire them out before their nap. When they get up we do a small snack if they want something and dinner around 5:30. We start the routine around 7. And they go down at 7:50.
The only suggestion the doctor had was to push the Bedtime back later so they would wake up later. We had to do this a couple months ago to stop our son from getting up at 4:30 which has been an on-and-off issue since we got them to sleep through the night as babies. My husband gets up early for work and it's hard for us to put them to bed any later than what we are. I'm trying to get them to burn more energy in the evening but it's hard because my husband doesn't get home from work till close to 6 usually and we have to eat and I have to clean up after the kids. There usually isn't much time for play in the evening.
I'm not sure if they're napping too long during the day. I was thinking about trying to put them down for a nap earlier as long as I can give them lunch beforehand and give them a chance to poop.
