Red bleeding??

Hey all so I’m about 3 weeks PP and after a week and a half I stopped the red bleeding and had only yellow/brown. All of a sudden today I started bleeding red again is it normal to bleed off then on again red???

I bled for a couple hours of bright red after I thought I was done with it. I’ve read it can be the placenta scan coming off.

Hi there! I’m becoming a certified dula, I’m by no means a medical professional but I recently learned that bleeding comes in two phases, the first lasting from week 1-3 and the second from weeks 5-8. It’s common to stop bleeding for a period of time between the two phases, and then begin with the red bleeding again. It’s also common to have cramping during the second phase as well. Good luck! I had that happen to me. It was so heavy I woke up and had bled on my sheets and through my jammies. I freaked out and called my ob at 5am and she said it was normal. My bathroom looked like a crime scene!
