How many bottles??

Question

Please no breast is best, i find this app isnt judgemental like some of the others. How many bottles would you recommend getting?? My SIL recommended not bothering with the small little ones and just get the standard 260ml bottles. My mom already went out a got a tommee tippee starter kit with the steriliser and everything else thats in the bundle so i feel stuc to tommee tippee. Though i do like the bottles and prefer them when i would feed my baby cousin to the ones they got her now, all because baby cousins sister whos 7 wanted pretty patterned bottles.... But i do want to get an advanced anti colic as i know the stems can go in an ordinary tommee tippee bottle. Advice or tips anything really. I just dont want to find myself washing and washing them like a vicious cycle

Get a few different brands. You never know which your baby will prefer. I like dr Brown bc they have the venting system. But I also like advet bc my son tends to do better with those nipples. We have 9 bottles. Also, if you register at stores, they will give you a welcome bag and they have bottles in those too

I’m breastfeeding and I still bought 11 bottles so far. I’m sure that’s plenty for me. And probably for formula babies too. I just have an obsession with buying stuff I always buy overboard. But I plan on having at least 30 just in case I lose some or they somehow break etc. I hope that helped 😂

We have 6 small ones because she only eats a snack (2 oz) to 6 oz at a time. Usually she sticks around 4 oz at a time. I feed on demand so she eats 30 to 40 oz total a day. I wash bottles 3 to 4 times a day and sanitize in the dishwasher by rotating so I'm never out any bottles at a single time.

All we got was 9 8oz bottles. I figured it would be a waist to get the 4 oz bottle since they d t use them for very long. We only use 8 bottles cause one ALWAYS stays in the diaper bag

A lot of times you can get bottles in the sample packs that you get (like from Target, Amazon, etc), so you could attempt the different types without spending a lot of money on one type til you know what baby prefers. You never know what kind of bottle your baby will prefer so I wouldn't buy all of just one type of bottle. I would try to get at least one of each that you would like to try and see which one the baby prefers after birth. My son was having a hard time latching after being born, so the hospital put him on a specialized bottle and nipple for the first couple of months and he wouldn't take any other type. I bought all Dr Browns bottles and even received some that I had put on the baby registry at my baby shower and he is just now using them at 2 months old. I love the Dr Browns Options bottles, but it's really what baby prefers. Some aren't picky, but some will only take a certain type like my son.

I registered at target (highly recommend if you haven’t already this goes for all mommas!!!) gift bag included two bottles, a dr browns (I believe anti colic) and another I’m pretty sure it was a Phillips avent. It also came with a pretty hefty amount of coupons including some for various brands of bottles including tommee tippee. I went in and just got what bottles I could with the coupons I had, I have a pretty wide variety at this point and I’m going to wait until she’s born to see which one she takes to best. I would get a few different types, every bottle & nipple is different, you never know what what baby is going to take or not take! Hope this helps!

get a couple of each brand and see what baby likes my first likes wider and my second like thinner if that makes sense  and then I tried the one called dr brown but I hated all the pieces to wash and if I lost a bottle and got bad milk it was a hassle to clean so u just threw it out I have gotten a few free ones from target and wish list and amazon i will be mostly breast feeding but when i go to work i want to have like 3 or 4 bottles so sitter can feed baby but I dmt want to deal with having like 20 bottles lol I just want like 3 or 4 easy to wash and that do not spill with cap on and that baby will like

I find it's best to try different brands, they do make anti colic bottles but i find with the smaller bottles it makes it easier for baby to hold as he/she grows. I fell in love with the avent bottles (not the classic but the other kind) and they also double as a sippy cup you just have to buy the replacement silicon spout. But you just have to try different kinds, all babies are different and may prefer one kind over another 😊

I’m using avent bottles, and tbh I have way more than I need but I only have to wash once a day and still have enough if I don’t wash( which sometimes does happen ) i have about 15 right now. I do still use the small bottles but have 4 of them now and the rest are 9oz.
