Did I just pass my SCH?

Torri • Wife / mama-to-be 💙

I went to the ER Thursday night because two hours into sleeping, I woke up in a puddle of blood. I’m 15 weeks pregnant, having had one m/c in 2016 with twins at 10. Every little thing that happens scares me.

They did an ultrasound and did my blood work, and told me I have a sub chorionic hemorrhage. They told me I needed to follow up with my doctor, which I can’t do until Monday because he doesn’t work on Fridays. I put myself on bed rest for the whole weekend.

Something weird happened this morning though. Woke up as usual, needing to pee, but as I’m peeing I feel this thing fall out of me.

I’m very curious as to what it was, and it was no longer visible in the toilet because it went all the way to the back. But I was determined so I dug for it 🤢

Well... this is what it was....

I’ve never had anything like this before so I’m freaking out as to what this could be. Is it the placenta? Is it the hematoma? What the heck is going on.

So I google.. you know, what you’re NOT supposed to do..

But it actually eased my mind. It’s not the tissue that has to do with the baby - placenta, sac, etc. - because it would be a greyish color.

I think my body is just trying to get this thing out of me so my baby boy will be okay!

Has anyone else ever had this? I seriously am getting so impatient to see my doctor tomorrow and get a more in-depth look... the ER sucked.

Did this turn out to be the hematoma? I found out I had one two days ago, after an absolute flood of blood cane outta nowhere. I had some clots that looked like this. Had a scan, baby is fine, but I’m terrified/traumatized!

But baby is ok? That’s all that matters, right?

I also went to a horrible ER. The best advise I can give you is stay on bedrest until your bleeding resolves. My Dr was blind he assured my pregnancy was fine until I passed a large blood clot. Bed rest can help you and your baby. Praying for you 🙏🏻

Well I’m supposed to see him today so hopefully we find out if it’s passed, or maybe smaller now. But I mean I have nothing to compare it to because the ER showed me nothing. My fiancé can look st the ultrasound I get today and tell me “it looks smaller/bigger than st the ER” because he was the only one that was in a seat that could see the screen. But still. I hated how they didn’t tell me ANYTHING . They didn’t even offer me a pad to put on after I laid in the hospital bed for 2 hours and bled through mine. I was walking out of the hospital with blood running down my legs because my pad was so full. It was horrible and embarrassing.

I had an SCH with my first pregnancy. I started bleeding at 13 weeks. I passed clots that big with it. The SCH never went away. That's just accumulated blood from it.

Awww! I’m currently 7w4d at my 6 week scan they told me I had a SCH that’s only 3CM but it’s causing bleeding not heavy no cramping n not enough to fill up a pad or liner but it’s nerve racking 😔
