Is college REALLY harder than high school? Or is that just what people say?

Also, I’m going to community college, not a university. And I’m sure they’re also on different levels. But I’m getting so much anxiety; cause I’ve heard that it’s so difficult, and there’s never a break.

It’s not difficult like that...  in the beginning of every class you get a syllabus and a schedule for each class telling u the due date, exams, etc.. if u stay on top of basically ur ‘to do list’ of each class you’ll be fine... 
The only difference is if ur absent no one cares... if u don’t hand in ur work no one says nun... if u don’t give a fuck... jokes on u cus the professors don’t either 
Basically it’s way more easier to fail cus no ones going to push u to hand in ur work to make sure ur doing ur shit. It’s all on u... and if u fail no one will no unless you tell them .. there’s no phone calls to home there’s nothing. U have to tell ur parents why u failed and u have to waste ur time and re take it. 
I think that’s what makes it hard ... no one cares what u do... ur the only one who can make ur self succeed

Other than that I’m a full time student taking 6 classes going for nursing and I have class 2 days a week ... 
So when u say u don’t have off.. that’s true if your full time and even go during the summers.. but at the same time that’s not really tru.. u chose ur classes and schedule

Honestly it would depend on the classes you took in high school... some high schools have really hard classes that can act as an equivalent to the community college ... TBH if you do everything the teacher tells you to do then you will be fine.

College was harder because I had to manage my time. My high school gave adequate time to do all work in class so I never had homework (block scheduling was nice). All of my classes were so easy that I didn't need to study (even adv classes). In college I had to learn to do my work on my own time, which was a somewhat difficult transition. I went to a university, not a community college for reference. Content wise, it was definitely more challenging but I considered my high school to be a joke in terms of difficulty. I didn't think undergrad was that hard, but it was a huge jump from high school. I'd consider my masters program to be challenging though.

I went to a university. To me, undergraduate was not hard at all. You just have to stay on top of your assignments and due dates. My professors did not constantly remind us of due dates so we had to stay on top of things. Another thing that made it hard was being away from my parents and not having them there to remind me of things. However, I'm very self-disciplined so it wasn't a big deal. Graduate school is a total different story lol. I still maintained a GREAT GPA in grad school, but it's a lot harder. I'm not sure how community college is, but I'm sure it's not that much of a difference. Good luck!!

yep, every year in high school they say it gets harder and harder, never did, said it would be much harder in college still didn’t believe them. college came and i was not prepared! i was there for 2 years and only passed one class :/

Nah, you just need to stay on a schedule and not fall behind. I mean the COURSES for me (biochem) were not hard or challenging whatsoever as long as I tried. Same for my husband and he was never the type to enjoy school or get straight As. With my help, he got As and Bs. What could be hard is staying on track if you take too many credits at once. That and if you have to work too, it is just busy busy busy.
