First baby and the nursing staff traumatized me...
Short version:
On Monday I was only 1cm dilated. Started contraction on Friday (13 minutes apart) and finally on Tuesday around 2am they were at 5 minutes apart. So came to the hospital and was almost immediately admitted since I was already 41 weeks. Checked at 6am and was at 3cm. As the day goes on I have 2 sets of nurses training another nurse from another department so this means every time it came time to check dilation I'd be checked twice by two different people. My original OB never checked my cervix hard at all so when these 4 ladies came in to check my cervix it would always end up with me crying and body shaking and almost begging for them to not do it back to back again. Guess it wasnt my choice since I was ignored every time. Anyway.. by 12pm I was at 8cm and my doctor was suppose to be there around 1pm to break my water. Joke was on me because she didnt show up till 4:45pm and after they broke my water started me on the medicine that they use to induce you for labor. So from 5:30pm-11:30pm I was having contractions under 2 minutes apart, but I dilation ended up stalled and my daughter had pooped while still in the sac so ended up digesting it. At 11:45 my doctor called and told me I would have to have a csection.. I was really let down since I had just went through 18 hours of labor and thought I was almost about to give birth natural with no epidural. During the time getting ready for the csection the nurses were rushing around me in almost a excited manner. One nurse even ended up tripping over the wires that were hooked into the monitor and myself (lucky for her she didnt pull out my IV🙄). The other nurse had to shave me and I was still having contractions 2 minutes apart so she had me laying on my back, which I was fine for a couple contractions, but when I needed to get up she had another nurse hold my arm so I'd stay down while she continue to shave and nik me with the razors. I was crying and begging once again for them to just give me a break. Once I finally got up I refused to lay back down and let them 'touch me up' since they didnt know how to listen and I was in agonizing pain. After a few minutes it was time to move me to a freezing empty room with people waiting on me with masks. The lady put the one time shot in my back and I laid on the table as they started cutting me open while waiting for them to bring my husband through the door. I love my husband, but he really had me fucked up if he really thought I was about to allow him video me open on a table because his mom was so upset that she couldnt be there for the moment. I cant believe she would even ask that.. anyway after feeling them tugging the shit out of my stomach and a bunch of pressure I finally heard my baby girls cry and it was unbelievable. Unfortunately it wasn't what I thought because I didnt get to see her until 20 minutes after they finished with her not even a glance 😢 But my beautiful baby girl is here! Aariyah Marie born August 22nd at 12:40AM 9lbs 3oz. My doctor was so surprised she came out so big she was guessing she'd be shy of 8lbs. I think I'm 1 and done she, her daddy and, a puppy later down the road is all I need💜👶🏽👨👩👧
