Boyfriend + cocaine

My boyfriend just told me he did cocaine last night... “but just a little bit”.

I freak out every time he tells me he tried a drug, and although he never repeats the drugs I still don’t like him trying it in he first place.

I feel stupid lecturing him because I’m not his mother, but he just does dumb things when he’s with his friends and I obviously worry because I know drugs can have some serious effects.

His parents don’t know he tries drugs here and there, but I feel like I should tell them, but then I also think I’m dobbing on him. Please give some advice. I don’t want to wake up to a brain damaged or even dead boyfriend.
