God parents?

Me and my fiancé are both pretty young he’ll just be turning 20 when we have our son and I’ll be 20 3 months later. All our friends don’t have the mind set we’d want them to have when it comes to picking god parents. I’ve always said my uncle and his wife would be perfect (young 24/25 and have a 1 year old little boy) but my fiancé wants to pick one of his friends and his girl friend. We’ve never disagreed this much about something, it’s been months and we still haven’t gotten anywhere with the topic. Any tips? (P.s. my best friend would be an amazing god mother but she lives in another country now for school and won’t be moving back so that’s hard as well.)
