40 weeks 3 days anyone told baby still little high and 2cm but water broke anyways at some point when?

With my son my water broke unexpectedly at 40 weeks 5 days. I was 2 cm and 80% effaced but he was very high.

My water broke when I was 37 weeks. Had no symptoms that labor might be near and had declined a check at my 36 week appointment. Went to hospital and was checked and told I was 1cm and “thick” (20% effaced) and that baby was “up in New York” (we are in FL).

40 weeks, I was hard as a rock, not dilated at all. My water broke LATER THAT DAY! Had my son the next day at 5pm, about 24 hrs later 😄
