Anyone has LONG cycles (like 35-50 days) and been okay conceiving?

So far I'm on CD 39. Ovulation CD 30. I'm assuming sometime next weekend my period should show up, bc I heard it should always come 14-16 days after ovulation. If it doesn't, and I have negative hcg test, should I make a doctor appointment? Only ttc for two months. We have a child already and cycles have always been kind of off, this is the first time planning so I didn't know if I should make a doctor appointment before the normal "year" of trying mark.
