Late period?

I’ll cut right to the chase ladies, I just want to know what might be going on. I’ve been on birth control (pills-trisprintec) for about a year now. They really regulated and lightened my periods, helped with cramps, etc. but I’ve ALWAYS still had a period. My pill week starts on Wednesday instead of Sunday. Usually my period starts the Sunday after I start taking my placebo pills, but today makes it a week late.. I’ve taken 2 HPTs, one Wednesday and one last night, both were negative. I’ve never missed a period, save the one time I really was pregnant. What’s causing this? Is it possible for a hpt to have a false negative even this far past my missed period? Help 😭😂
