How do I convince my husband I dont want to drink alcohol anymore?

I hate alcohol. It seriously puts a wedge in my marriage.

First let me say, we dont drunk much at all. Maybe once or twice a month. But I dont want to drink AT ALL.

Alcohol makes me bloat so the point i look 6 months pregnant and its painful. I instantly get headaches when i drink, and the next day (even if I just have one drink) my stomach is tore up. It just isnt a fun experience for me.

My husband hates to drink alone. (I dont blame him. Itd be boring.) But he makes these 'plans.' For instance, this weekend we went to town with some friends we haven't seen in years. So we drank. I have one drink the first night, then about 3 drinks the second night. That was plenty enough for me.

So we came home yesterday afternoon, and started getting back into our routine. He starts his night shift tonight, and I had to get the kids ready for bed and school today, the house needed cleaned blah blah all that stuff. It was a day to relax and recoup for the week. Well. My husband had this plan that we take some shots, and then we have wild sex. So I asked if we had to have the alcohol to do that and he said yes. That alone kinda annoyed me because it shouldn't be a requirement. So i said we do the wild sex, but I dont want to drink. The rest of the night I got the awkward silent treatment.

Then when I confronted him about it he made some remark about "well I'll be on night shift for the next two weeks and so we wont be sleeping together so I figured one last night of fun.. " so because I didnt want to drink, we just couldn't do anything together.

These are his responses when I repeatedly tell him his alcohol makes me feel:

-well lets just take a lot of shots and get you drunk before all the "side effects" kick in.

-you use to drink with me all the time before we were married and had kids.

-maybe you haven't found the right alcohol yet.

I tell him I dont want to drink at all anymore and it becomes a fight every single time.

It's getting so old, and I'm so tired of it.
