Hello there. I have been on Zoloft for almost 15 years for obsessive compulsive disorder . First at 75 mg and then dropped to 50 mg. I stopped taking it about a year ago in preparation for trying to conceive this summer. It has been extremely difficult. I have days where I’m fine, and other days where it feels like my world is falling apart. I talked to a fetal maternal specialist who told me it’s safe to take while pregnant and nursing. There are possible risks for the baby, but the benefit it provides to me is greater than those risks. I started on 25 mg because he said the lowest dose is always the best for any medication when pregnant. I’m starting to feel better but can tell I need to up my dosage. I’m contemplating going back to 50 mg. Even though I’ve been told it’s okay, I would still like the be on the lowest dose possible. Has anyone had the same issue? Anyone taking Zoloft while trying to conceive/pregnant/nursing?
