My 17th birthday was recently and me and my dom went to kink/sex shop and it was super fun. We live together and the shop is pretty close to our apt which is really convenient. We bought a lock for my collar and looked at some harnesses, collars and floggers. The lady who helped us was super sweet and helped us look at the different materials. When we checked out, and she saw my ID, it was awkward but she was still super kind about it. 17 is the age you can go to adult shops here, so it was legal but I'm still a minor, so I felt guilty for letting her talk to me about kink related stuff without informing her of my age since I didn't know if that went against any of her personal morals. Overall, it was a really cool experience and it just excited me more for when I can join the BDSM scene.
