Do Religious parents have more children?

Just an observation: Everytime I come across a religious couple (not just Mormons) they often have like 3-7 kids. Do you agree? Why is this?

Many think birth control is preventing God’s will. I have a ton of cousins for this reason, but have met many who believe the same thing.

Depends on the couple and religion. Some faiths and followers do not believe in birth control of any form and merely “accept what the lord gives them” be that 1 child or 10

I’m a Christian and hubby & I hope to have 4 kids. We love kids and the thought of having a larger family.
I’m from a family of 2 and my hubby a family of 4 kids total.
I know families with up to 12 kids... one is Christian and the other does not follow a religion. Maybe where we come from, large families is the in thing 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Some religions ban birth control...even pulling out/natural family planning because they believe sex is for procreation not pleasure. Other religions believe it is their duty to populate the earth with godly children...like the Duggars.

Any time I went to my cousins house (there’s 4 of them) they go to their family friends house and she has 6 kids. The running joke EVERYTIME we go over is “can’t have enough big catholic families”. Meanwhile I’m an only child and so was my mom 😂

My grandparents were practicing Catholics and refused to use any kind of birth control. They has 12 kids. Would have been 15 but she had miscarriages.

Depending on the religion, it’s a usually. I come from an Italian Catholic family who still lives in the motherland of Catholicism but they aren’t against using birth control at all, so we are far from the stereotypical Catholic family with 10 kids.

My family is religious AND military. Two very common stereotypes of big families!! Although my husband and I only want 2 or 3 children, many of our friends have at least 5 children.
