Do you regret using a top 5 name for your child?

After discovering a family member is not who I thought they were, I want to change my girl name choice. The only other name I like right now is Ava... Do you have an overly popular name you dislike or have regretted naming your child?

I went to school with three Chelsea Andersons. All three spelt differently. Chelsie Andersen, Chelsey Andersin 
Crazy! Anyways I never hated my name. Even though it was popular. If you love the name. Use it! It might not even be as popular in your area. 
My dear friend named her son Liam. #1 on the boys list. She gets complements on it all the time and she adores it!!

I have a Caden, (15), Jaxon, (8), and Lincoln (6). I named all my boys literally right before the names became popular lol I'm having a daughter this time, and I'm sure I'll do the same, so I'm thinking more traditional or vintage this time around. I don't regret my name choices; they fit my kids. I just find it funny bc I had not heard them hardly, if at all, before I named them. 🤷

I have a common name and it never bothered or impeded me. I’m older than the unique name craze so most people I know have common names — they are all happy, successful, well-adjusted people (well, not all, but I would say the sob story %age is reflective of that of the general population). It’s really not a big deal for the kid at all. I think the only real issue is that when parents choose something trendy that they think is going to be unique, they feel embarrassed/mad when it isn’t. You obviously know there are going to be a lot of Avas, so you won’t have to worry about that. I think you should choose it if you love it!

I have a popular common name and really was growing up Christine really annoying like ur just one of many! 
So I gave my kids all unique names that I don’t ever If rarely hear especially for kids their age! 
I have a Adrea I heard as a less popular but similar name to Ava is

We named our girl a top 10 name. My husband had it picked out before we ever met and we naturally used it for years to refer fo our future daughter. I thought it being popular would bother me but it doesn’t. 
The only thing that bothers me is anytime I introduce her people immediately call her Abby which my husband and I both hate (and correct). Part of me wishes we would have used a different name simply because I’m irritated I keep having to tell people outside our friends/family not to call her Abby.
