I never had an outbreak either (I don’t think?)...my ex had been cheating so I freaked out & I went to the doctor and told them I wanted to be tested for whatever they can test for. I kept calling them day by day and they said “everything is clean and clear, we are just waiting back on your herpes test, but we will call if anything’s positive” so I waited and no call. I asked my mom if I should bother nagging them again and she said “I wouldn’t worry, they said they’d call you” so about three months went by and my new boyfriend had some bumps down there. He said “I think it’s herpes...” and I called the place back and they had me on hold for awhile. They came back to the phone and said “your test was positive for genital herpes. Sorry but we thought you’d call us” WTF they never called me to give me my positive result. I don’t see how you could get positive results back and never call the person. Luckily, my boyfriend was kinda nonchalant about it and wasn’t upset.
