Do you rinse your rice before cooking 🍚

I just (few mins ago) saw a video online about making rice properly. I have NEVER rinsed my rice. Including the rice I just made today. It’s Jasmin rice... hahahah. I’m so worried, my kids and I ate it. Hope we don’t get sick 😅 lol

It just cooks better when rinsed, because you're getting a lot of the extra starch and stuff off. It should be fluffier :)

Depending on what I want with the rice I sometimes do sometimes don't. Rinsing makes it fluffier, which is nice for just eating, but if I'm making it for Curry or the like I prefer not to so it's hardier

I always rinse white rice because it cooks nicer. I never used to with brown rice and it was always fine though. Nothing dangerous about not rinsing though!

I rinse and pick out the extra dark grains.
