I need advice .... kinda long ...

Hey ladies please tell me if I’m wrong .... so it was my cousin baby shower like 3 Saturdays ago ..

... i couldn’t make it due to the fact that Thursday my daughter got poked in her eye and her eye had blood splats and it swelled up really Baby her eye was swollen shut ... then she started getting a slight fever ( my daughter also have Neutropenia) — i spoke to my cousin on FaceTime and showed her my daughter eye and sent her pictures

so Friday spoke with dr she said keep her out of sun light and give her some meds to reduce the swelling ... later Friday night her eye swelled up more and caught another slight fever— Friday i spoke to my cousin in the morning gave her an update

So Saturday comes and I’m so focused on my baby eye and fever i forgot to text my Couisn, my baby slept most of the day her eye still was pretty bad .... so around 4 my daughter spiked a fever so i had to take her to the ER ... so my cousin texted me like “ so i guess your not coming “ so i texted back like been in ER since 5 sorry ...

Mind you her baby shower was 3 hours away and i was taking PT ...

So am i wrong in anyway for not attending the baby shower? Or not letting her know that I’m not coming ? Or is she over reacting??? We haven’t spoken since then!!!!
