just wondering how everyone else feels. he is more than willing to do it but at the same i feel like i’m crazy for caring about his social media so much.

Personally, I feel it is a little unreasonable to ask him to be so extensive with deleting the pictures and posts about his ex. In my experience, being cut out of photos or posts doesn’t mean that part of his past didn’t happen. But if he wants to delete them, go for it. I think it’s a decision he should come to on his own though. Truly, I think what really matters is the present and whether or not he’s paying the same kind of attention to you with social media. Like if he hasn’t posted anything about you and you’ve been dating for a while and you know him to be an avid poster, I’d be curious about that. 🤷🏻‍♀️ my relationship is very minimally a part of my social media, same with my husband. I guess it just depends on how much of a value you put on the presence of you relationship on social media, if that makes sense?

I asked my husband to delete one photo of his ex he had on his Instagram which was pretty sexually explicit. It made me uncomfortable especially because he didn’t post much on social media so their was one photo between her and the first photo we posted together. 
Other than that nope. There are a lot of photos of them on social media and she still has some. But he’s married to me and she just got married in June. So I just figure it’s memories of the past.

Clicked the wrong one. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Noone should have to remind their partner that their old relationship is over and should be gone from social media. Keeping real photos and some mementos is ok. My mom sometimes showed me letters etc. of her exes when I was a teen and had my first crushes and heartbreaks. It helped me a lot to understand that everyone goes through this and come out fine. Life goes on. That's what I want to do with my kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Social media is something completely different. Exes should be deleted. On phones as well. No conversations. No pics. Nada. This should be common sense. Noone should have to ask for it to be done.

It's his memories from the past. I wouldn't tell him to delete all. But if there are specific pictures that really bothers you, then talk about it with your boyfriend
