I'm getting contractions but they are mild and don't hurt bad but they don't last long should I start timing them or try to sleep and see what happens ! also idk if this makes a difference but I lost my mucus plug today

The hospital wouldn't check me till my contractions were 3 minutes apart, lasting about a minute and I couldn't talk through them. So just get some sleep and take a shower.

Here in Western Australia they won't do cervix checks unless you are actually in labor because it isn't necessary.

I’d time them and if they stay the same until you go bed then go sleep cause you’ll need it 💕 good luck x

Monitor and time them, if they begin to become closer together and for a longer period of time then it’s progressing, call the hospital or where ever you’re giving birth to let them know Labor has started. Losing your Mucus Plug can mean pending Labor but it can also mean nothing at all, I lost mine at 39 weeks and didn’t go into Labor until I was 41 weeks plus, it can regenerate. If you can sleep now, do so. When my contractions started I couldn’t sleep I was awake for two days. Rest up while you can.

Time them

If your 4 minutes and under apart your most likely in labor! Mine went from 4 minutes apart to 3, and to 2 minutes apart once it got to 2 minutes I was like ok this is no joke I’m going into labor now lol.

They could be false labour. If they’re real contractions you’ll struggle to sleep through them. But either way you need to rest up just in case. Time them if you feel the need to. But there’s nothing you can do but wait for it to progress.
