Are cramps normal in pregnancy?

Ive been getting cramps that go away but then come back n ive spotted a bit im scared

For some, mild cramping and light pink spotting happen and baby is fine. But it never happened to me so I can’t say from experience. 
I would definitely consult with a doctor right away if it started happening just because I would want that peace of mind. 
Now if it’s bright red blood, that’s when you have to head in to ER ASAP. Good luck, hope it’s nothing.
