My husband is working on installing the infant carrier for his second/my first.

He is stuck on center back while I would like the infant carrier behind the driver's seat.

Let me explain myself...

Step son 8 has a full back booster that he literally cannot buckle with the infant carrier in the middle. To me that right there is reason enough. We need to be able to have both kids safely buckled.

The owners manual for our car also states to only use center back if the carseat fits there just perfectly as the seat there is slightly oddly shaped. The infant carrier does seem to fit good there.

I know that generally the center back position is the safest but what would you all do in this situation?

I would like to add that whatever we decide we will be having checked by a certified carseat tech prior to use.
