Abnormal Newborn Screening

I got a call this afternoon that our 12 day old had an abnormal blood screening during our hospital stay and they were going to send the information to our pediatrician for further screening. When I pressed for information, I was told it was the lysosomal screening that came back abnormal. This is our third baby and the other two both had healthy screenings so this is new and very scary territory for us.

Our pediatrician text my husband and told him not to react to the first screening and he wished the hospital clinic had not shared so much information because there are many follow up tests that negate the initial screening. But what’s done is done and I am in a panic. Does anyone have any experiences like this? Thanks in advance.
