Are dentist X-rays okay?

I went to planned parenthood a few days back an she said I was approximately 6 weeks an 4 days along, an my mom doesn’t know yet. But is it okay to get dentist X-rays done this early? I’ve read on some places it is okay but some places where they said it is not. So I don’t know.

Dental assistant and mom here! X-rays aren’t safe during pregnancy period. X-rays are some by using radiation. Radiation can mutate cells. It is especially dangerous to get X-rays while pregnant because your baby is developing brand new cells rapidly everyday! Of course there is the chance that absolutely nothing would happen and your baby wouldn’t be effected but it’s better safe than sorry

If your mom doesn’t know, she doesn’t have to know. If she finds out, tell her you don’t like doing them, and you’ll get them next time

You shouldn't get them unless really needed. So just your routine dental x-rays world wait till you give birth, & if you really need them for dental damage or something, make sure your dentist knows you're pregnant.

When I went to my cleaning they offered, I was like 25 weeks. They said it was safe and they put something over you but I turned it down. I think they recommend any dental work being done in second trimester.
