Serial HCG draws?

Hey mamas. Did any of you do serial hcg draws in early pregnancy to make sure they were rising appropriately? If so, how far along were you when you did them? My OB said I should do this with my next pregnancy, just curious when I should be calling the office. And how early was your first ultrasound?

I’m doing the same thing, my doctor said that it would give me piece of mind after my mc; just found out I’m pregnant early last week and had first hcg level checked on Wednesday and again on Friday, I’ll find out Monday if it looks good, fingers crossed! I also made an appointment for an ultrasound at 7 weeks!

This is a American thing... In Canada we do one test to confirm pregnancy and that's it, Unless there's reason to suspect something's wrong.
It seems unnecessary to me.

I had a previous eptopic so as soon as i got a positive test i had to go straight to the doctor. 13dpo was at 33, 15dpo was at 84, 17dpo was 190 and 22dpo was 1300. Doctor was more than happy and have scan on friday. (Im in New Zealand)

I did them at 4 weeks than 4 weeks 3 day and then 1 week laster

Yes ma’am, just had draws at 4w2d and 4w4d - glad I did because (1) my progesterone levels were low so I was put on supplements and (2) seeing those HCG numbers double gave me so much peace of mind!

I think I was about 3 weeks and I did them for a week or maybe 2 I cant remember. I just remember i had quite a bit cause my arm looked like a heroin addict lol

I did 3 draws and once it was over 2100 I had my first ultrasound at 5weeks 5 days

My doctor actually advised against it. She said it was just one more thing to worry about and didn't mean a whole lot.
