6 weeks pregnant: Spotting and cramping

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and have been spotting and cramping for 3 days. The blood was brown and now it’s bright red. It’s not enough to even fill a panty liner, but it’s consistent. Cramping comes and goes. Anyone experiencing the same thing? I’m a little concerned, because my doc won’t see me until I’m 8 weeks pregnant.
