Breast feeding too often ?

If baby is not asleep she feeds almost every hour. And she falls asleep while eating, so I know she’s not feeding the entire time but I can’t keep her awake! She seems to be getting enough milk but it’s just so often I’m exhausted!  She’s one week old. Help 😩

Sorry, it’s normal at that age. I know it feels like all you do it feed the baby at this stage (and it’s pretty much true) but it will get better in a couple weeks. Just do the best you can with sleep. This is why new moms walk around like zombies for the first month or two.

Normal. Baby has a small belly and digests breastmilk quickly. This also helps establish your supply. I was told to feed on demand as BF baby can't be over fed. My 6 week old daughter is still not on a "schedule"- she eats and comfort nurses as needed, we've recently decided to introduce a pacifier whole in the car and at night after feeding.

Pretty normal. My daughter did this for like the first 4 weeks I had to keep waking her to feed. I later found out it was because of a tongue tie. If it happens past 2/3 weeks and there’s issues with latching definitely look to see if it’s a tongue or lip tie. We got our daughter’s snipped and it made a world of difference.
