Switching to formula
With a heavy heart I've decided to go to formula. Baby has tongue tie that grew back and I don't wish to put her through that process again. I've been nursing for 7 weeks but have inadequate supply as she's not nursing properly. I have nipple damage from her bad latch and pumping is also painful. Breaking point was when lactation consultant told me i was inadequate and she's not gaining weight. I do have some milk Frozen and intend to switch gradually if 3oz breastmilk 1oz formula for 2/3 days then bump it to 50/50.
I need some advice on how to dry up what milk I have. I do get engorged over the longer sleep periods at night so I know what to expect.
I purchased earth momma no more milk tea. And cabbage as I read it helps. Should I be nursing her a few times too to slow it down gradually? Or how long does it usually take to get it over with cold turkey.
No I don't want your opinion on my choice, just answers to my questions.
It's hard enough to
Thanks
