Allergic to kinesiology tape???

Question

Just tried kinesiology tape the other day to relieve some aches and pains. It worked great and I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. Cut to less than 48 hrs later and I seem to be allergic to the tape. 😢 I have some raised itchy bumps directly under where the tape was. So bummed!  I’ve never had skin allergies to anything before!  Anyone else had a reaction to these tapes??

This happened to me my first pregnancy.  I used k-tape several time before without incident, but while pregnant it was a no-go. I had to RIP it off after a few hours the itching was so bad.

I had to use the tape on a shoulder injury a few years ago and had the same reaction when applied by my physical therapist. So I don't know if it's only because it was put on too tight as mentioned in another comment. They determined mine was an allergy to the adhesive on the tape itself despite never having an adhesive allergy before, so they just switched brands and I could wear it the full 72 hours before needing to change the tape without issues or even minor itching. It was wonderful and I plan on doing the same when my belly gets larger
