Birth story
Finally wanted to write my birth story as I love reading all yous ladies’❤️
I fell pregnant at 17 & was 18 by the time I have birth.
I was a week over my due date which was the 1st of August & felt like nothing was going to make this baby come out😂 I walked everyday from my due date onwards, tried sex, bouncing on the ball etc.. On the 8th of August at 3:00am I woke up with bad lower back pain. I didn’t immediately think it was labour as I often get back pain. I stay up for a few hours as the pain gets worse & spreads to my lower stomach - at this point I go & wake up my mum (I live with my mum) & tell her what’s happening. She tells me to start timing the pains, at this point it’s probably about 5am and I’m in denial that I’m even in labour😂 well not for long as the pain is getting unbearable😩. I text my partner at about 7:30am as I know that’s when he gets up for work & let him know what’s happening. Shortly after he is at my house & the contractions are coming hardddd & fast. I have already called the hospital & they say to wait a little longer & come in. I want to wait it out for as long as I can at home so I can walk about and bounce on my ball. Well my confections are about 4 mins apart & we head for hospital (40 min drive). This was he worst part, the contractions were 2 mins apart in the car & I have never felt pain like it😂 I arrived in hospital & waited 20 mins for an examination which they told me I was already 8cm dilated & had to get straight to the labour ward ASAP! I couldn’t believe I was that far along, but then again I could considering the pain😂 I had a very bloody show shortly after & pushed for 1 hour (no pain relief, just gas & air to help control my breathing) & at 3:07pm my beautiful baby girl was born weighing 7lbs 1oz❤️ 12 hour labour & 1 hour of pushing and she was finally here. Midwives informed me that they couldn’t find my waters & asked me had they broke at any point which I know they hadnt - which was weird lol, to this day no one knows what happened to my waters. It was The hardest & most amazing thing I’ve been through & she has changed my life for the better (apart from major lack of sleep lol). My beautiful daughter Isabella, my everything
