I set a alarm to check on my newborn every 3hrs to see if he needs a diaper change or to be fed...
What do you do? How’s your newborn?
My baby doesn’t fuss if he has a wet diaper so it’s hard to keep up with him on that. I can only tell when he’s gonna poop.

Once they get back to their birth weight, you don’t have to wake them up anymore. As far as diapers, they are designed to pull moisture away from baby’s skin. During the day I try to change at least every 2 hours only if they are awake. If not, I just change as soon as they wake up.

As long as your kiddo is back at birth weight stop! There’s no reason to change diapers in the middle of the night unless they wake up. I never did and my kiddo never got a rash.

My 6 week old still won’t go longer than 3 hours without needing something haha no need for an alarm

I never set an alarm even when our daughter was a newborn lol if she needed a feeding, she woke and let me know and I'd use that time to check her diaper as well. Otherwise, we all slept. I wasn't going to get her into the habit of waking every x hours just to check her diaper or feed her a bottle she didn't need or want lol

We change nappies to wake our little one up for feeds (she was pregnant and still needs to gain weight), otherwise I don’t fuss. She hates doing a poop but doesn’t care if it’s in her nappy at all
