Bad idea to have 1st Birthday smash cake and then cupcakes?

Daughter bday is coming up and now sure how to do the whole cake thing. Cupcakes are always easier but everyone I’ve seen just gets a sheet cake a baby smash cake. Is it a bad idea to just opt for cupcakes for everyone.

We did a cake smash photo shoot before her birthday party.

For our son’s first he got a giant “cupcake” to smash and we had matching regular sized cupcakes for all our guests.

Girl i had my lil mans smash cake and a tuxedo cake out of cupcake for everyone else.

We had a small smash cake just for our son and then served everyone else cupcakes. Easier than cutting up a cake and serving everyone, in my opinion 🙃
