Thoughts on desitin?

What are your thoughts on desitin diaper rash cream? A few years ago I heard it actually has something in it that made the rash worse so that you’d have to keep using it. Idk if this was true or if it was fixed 
Anyone know anything about this or use and like it?

It works, but Butt Paste works a lot better and faster. Usually I need to use Paste once or twice vs 2 or 3 days of purple Desitin.

My son screams when I tried using desitin however I  found the off brand from target and Walmart works amazing

I use it after my LO has a big poop and the area is red.. it always settles it down quickly. Haven’t had any issues.

Just make sure when putting on any diaper rash cream that the butt is completely dry before applying it, otherwise you can lock in the moisture.

It’s always cleared up my sons diaper rashes.

The purple Destin is the best I’ve found and all I use. I also pour baby powder over it when I use it

I used it only when my LO had a rash and his rash never reoccured so I don't think what you heard is true but that is just my experience. I seriously tried every other cream to relieve my LO's diaper rash at the time and desitin was the only cream that worked! It cleared it in 3 days.
