Hot showers??

I took a few hot showers before i knew i was pregnant, is that something that could’ve hurt the baby?

Hot showers and baths are fine it’s hot tubs that should be avoided because the maintain their temp over long periods and can potentially raise your core temp. I take hot showers all the time, unless you feel dizzy then you’re good.

One reason it is said to be bad is because it can change your blood pressure and effect the amount of blood/oxygen reaching your baby. But baby doesn’t share a blood stream with you until 6 weeks, so you should be okay

My doctor said it’s fine and the only reason they say to avoid it is because women get lightheaded and dizzy!

No just don’t take them super hot.. as long as your overall body temp isn’t significantly rising you’ll be good.

I take a hot bath to relax every day. baby will be fine just drink a glass of cold water before and after. my midwife said its completely fine
