Diagnosed at 7 weeks

Hi Ladies,

I have beem in hospital all night after going in for a UTI I left with type 2 diabetes.

I'm absolutely devestated as I have had to go straight on metaphorin and insulin.

I'm confused if I've had diabetes for a while without knowing or it has been spurred on in pregnancy.

I know it's a little early for gestational diabetes but 1 doctor said it was possible.

I really don't want diabetes for the rest of my life.

Has anyone else heard of gestational diabetes so early in pregnancy?
