Anyone tried keto?

Has anyone tried keto and had success with it? Why or why not? 
Im trying to lose weight so any tips or motivation would be appreciated!

I would not advise the keto diet. I am studying dietetics and nutrition... trust me when I say it is not a healthy way to lose weight. The keto diet's goal is to send your body into ketosis (which is essentially starvation mode) When you do this your body starts to use up your stored fat to survive. You are tricking your body into starvation essentially. You will lose weight, but as soon as you stop the diet you will gain it all back plus some because your body will want to store all the nutrients it can. Putting your body through ketosis for very long can put a really big stress on your organs! It is not worth the other complications it can cause. The main thing I would suggest is to watch your portion size and to try not to take in too many empty calories.
