Coming down with a cold what can I take?

My first ob appointment is still a little over a week away. Wondering what kind of medication I can take
Coughing sneezing runny nose.. I am just so miserable!

This week i have had a brutal cold. Was not able to sleep due to congestion and sore throat one night. My midwife said Tylenol is ok, just no more than 1000mg a day (which is two extra strength caplets that I have been breaking in half but still don’t seem to be doing much for my throbbing head) and said Benedryl was ok, but I don’t typically use that. Otherwise fluids, ginger and lemon tea or camomile with lemon, made a batch of chicken broth, and tons of sleep. I have also been doing lemon and cucumber infused water in a pitcher in the fridge for the extra vitamin C. Midwife also said that vitamin C tablets for extra immune boost right now are ok too, even though there is some in my prenatal - said the boost during a cold can’t hurt.

I asked and they said Tylenol or benhydral but, that makes you Abit drowsy.
