Who had a baby shower for the 2nd baby?? I want to have one, but is it normal?

It’s normal where I’m from to have one for every baby but I see a lot of woman on here saying it’s tacky and selfish. I don’t see how it is though since it’s someone else who hosts the shower and not the mother.

I had a second baby shower since my 1st kiddo was a boy & my second was a girl. I’m 21 weeks with my 3rd (2nd girl) and I am having a baby sprinkle but it’s just with family and it’s more of a cookout/gathering with baby gifts. My kiddos are 5&3 now so I need baby stuff again! Haha I think it’s okay and I’m just making it much more casual!

One of my friends had one for her first and second, but since her third is the same gender as her second she is going to reuse a lot of his clothes and she still has a crib. She didn’t have one because she has everything she needs for her third. 
We’re still giving her a small gift.

I guess I should’ve added that our babies will be exactly 2 years apart. We already got all the BIG stuff. Just need clothes & things like that. That’s why I was curious. Thank you so much ladies for your input!!😊😊

We just had a sprinkle. I was against it but my mom insisted. I registered for a few things all under $20 and bought the big stuff myself. We got a lot of clothes and diapers which was great and unexpected. My first son is almost 5.

It’s not normal in my area to have a baby shower for every kid unless there’s a wide age gap. Even then people don’t like to do it. I say if you want it do it.
