Before we set an induction date for 39 + 3, we put down human grade pads. Like puppy training pads but the kind the doctors use when you give birth. Bought them on Amazon. Had them on the couch, the bed, and in the car. That way if my water did break it wouldn't leak through and ruin things. So other than that I'd probably be like oh shit it's baby time! I had my water manually broken at the hospital though and that was...odd. It all came out in 2 huge gushes and then labor really started.

Only because my car is a late 2017 model and my husbands is a 2018 and would be totally gutted to get fluid throughout them!
