Which spelling?

I saw the name spelled always as Remy but I saw someone post it as Remi and I thought it was so much better for some reason and I want to know your opinions.
P.S. This isn’t for a child of mine I’m not even pregnant, just curious.

For a boy I’d say Remy and a girl Remi. I know a few girls called Remi.

My dog is a boy and we spell his name Remi. I think Remy is more girly. I like the name for humans too.
