Showering after birth?

Question

Can someone please fill me in on when I'll be able to shower if I 
A) have a typical vaginal birth
Or
B) have a C-section

You can shower right after a vaginal birth if you feel up to it.

I had a vaginal birth at around midnight and showered the same day mid morning. I also had second degree tears but found moving around almost felt better than laying in bed.

I’ve had two vaginally and I was able to shower after I could prove that I could stand on my own after the epidural wore off. I was able to deliver my baby, feed him, and then immediately use the bathroom. Then I took a shower a couple hours later. I have no idea about a c section. Sorry!

With an unmedicated vaginal delivery I showered about 4 hours after birth. I could have done it sooner but was bonding, learning to nurse, etc so it ended up being around 9pm right before we went to sleep for the night.

Vaginal - allowed to shower once IV was out (first baby) and as soon as I wanted to (second baby, no IV).

With my c-section, I showered a little over 24hrs after. I had to have help because I still couldn’t stand on my own, but I felt gross and couldn’t take it much longer.
