Long distance relationship

Everyone that’s in a long distance relationship: how do you not give up hope? I’m in my junior year right now in Michigan and my boyfriend lives in New Jersey. I’m going to a college in New Jersey so me and him will get to be together then but right now it’s so hard. I went to a bonfire today and so many people were making out with their boyfriends and so many couples are asking each other to homecoming. I want that so bad with him but we don’t even live in the same state and it’s really bumming me out. How do you keep your hope and motivation to keep going in your relationship up? I love him so much and I hate feeling like I’m missing out cause he lives so far away. I guess I kinda just need somebody to tell me that we’re gonna make it through this and I’m gonna be okay, I’m a bit bummed out right now
