Ferber - bedtime only.

it possible to successfully sleep train for night time only and move onto naps when bedtime is established? We started the Ferber method tonight and LO fell asleep after the 5min check. My mom takes care of her during the day and I know she won't commit to sleep training for naps. I'm going to be off from work for a week on the 28th and then we will sleep train for naps as well, hoping that it will be sorted for when she returns to my Mom upon my return to work.

Can we still rock to sleep for naps but just put her down to fall asleep independently at night? Has this worked for anyone?
