relationship advice??!

i’m 14 and my boyfriend just broke up w me and he told me he still wanted to be friends and text all the time bc we’ve known eachother since we were born but i couldn’t keep texting him bc it just made me feel worse every time his name popped up so i stopped, we see eachother all the time and it’s so awkward to talk to him and go back to normal bc we were like best friends but idk how to make it not awkward. we’ve seen eachother for the past 2 weeks and haven’t been able to say a word bc its terribly awkward. does anyone have any advice on what to do?
