Giving me butterflies☺️😳

Okay so I just wanna flat out say it. I love this app so much because I can vent and get opinions and rant and all that stuff without being judged (for the most part) so like, ugh there’s that.

Anyways, I’m in middle school, 13 in a month and a couple of days, and I normally try not to have crushes or relationships. Or “flings” (the middle school version, lol) But. You see. I kinda have a problem.

You see there’s this guy (I know, I know.) and I’ve known him since the beginning of last school year. We didn’t talk much but we had 1st period together. Yeah I’ll admit I thought he was cute and that he was really smart (still is) but I never let it get past that.

A couple weeks ago, school started back up, and I didn’t have any classes with him, saw him in the hallway and we didn’t do anything more than smile (genuine) when we did see each other. Well, maybe around 2 weeks into school he got a schedule change, and now we have 6th and 7th period together.

Well one day I had the courage, for whatever reason, to talk to him. The conversation started off general, but I found myself smiling a lot. And I could tell that I was blushing. After that we started talking even more and became good friends, it’s like a week later. And because school had just started up we had a school dance. I was going to go because my brother wanted to (he’s in 6th so I had to babysit) and I asked if he could come, and he did. We hung out the whole time at the dance and my brother loves him. He was such a gentleman and was so sweet oh my gosh. Anyways. It’s after the dance and I realize I have a crush on this person (let’s call him Salt). Back to the present, we still are really good friends. But homecoming is coming up (tomorrow), and he asked me:) I said yes. So back to the even “more” present. We were in 7th period, and we sat across from each other. Well I smiled a lot as usual. But I caught him staring at me, and I asked him, “what?” But I kinda laughed, you know? And he said “nothing”, but then he smiled.. did I mention he has the CUTEST DIMPLES / SMILE EVER ?! But it’s weird because literally whole school (INCLUDING OUR 6th PERIOD TEACHER + other teachers) says they “know he likes me” but he tells everyone he doesn’t and he has some female friends. And he acts completely normal (not smiling or anything, like, idk) when they ask if we’re dating. Just, “no,”. Also. A bunch of my friends tell him to “go ahead and ask her out” and he says okay. But doesn’t. Oh my gosh I’ve fallen hard. Because I feel like he doesn’t like me. But then again...
