So I know the day I ovulated, so do I go off of that day how many weeks pregnant I am or my LMP? I did ovulate a week late than normal

I know the doctors go off first day of last period, but why not your ovulation day if you know when?
Cuz according to my ovulation day I’d be 5 weeks but if I go off when my last period was then I’d be 8 weeks. I did get faint positive 12-13 days after I ovulated tho

You go off of your last period date. I think doctors do that because it's impossible to determine when the egg implanted so you're basically always walking around 2 weeks pregnant even when you're not. I was confused at first too not sure what to go off of but period date is what they said at my first scan last month and I was spot on on my dating

My doctor said she would change the due date if it was more than a week off of my LMP. I measured 2 days ahead and ovulated 2 days early, but they kept my due date based off my LMP because it was so close. Since yours is fairly different, they will likely base it off what you measure at your dating scan.

LMP is almost always off. And if you’re working with an OB that can mean an unnecessary early induction. I’ve always gone off my ovulation date and it’s always been spot on.
