Baby sleeping alone

When did y’all transition (if your baby sleeps in your room) to having them sleep in their own room? My baby is 6 months and I literally cannot even think of having her sleep alone yet (considering her room is on the other side of the house) and i just love being able to have her right by. But my husband seems to think it’s going to be soon that we will need to have her switch. So I guess my question is, when did everyone move their babies to their own rooms?
